We supply the highest quality I|D tags you can find. What makes a tag “high quality”? Quality material and good workmanship. You want your pet's id tag to last an to be readable by the finder of your pet, nothing else will matter if your pet is lost. You can trust Indigo Collar Tags because we will not supply any tag that will wear out. Security And Payments
We use super socket layering (SSL) to encrypt you order; this is the highest form of encryption available. PAYPAL is the company we use to process your payments. Your credit card number and other personal information are safe and cannot be viewed by any third party. We do not even see your credit card number here at our place of business and no one at Indigo Collar Tags has access to it.
This is a secure site. Your order is encrypted when you send it to us, it is not encrypted now, as it sits on your computer, for this reason your browser may issue a “Security Warning”. The browser sees the order as it is now and has no way of “knowing” the information will be encrypted once you “Check Out”. HAVE NO FEAR! your Credit Card number cannot be observed by a third party while your order is coming across the internet on its way to us.
We do not sell or give any information you provide us to any third party. We may contact you from time to time to keep you informed of any news from Indigo CollarTags™, of course you can let us know at any time if you wish to be removed from our list. Anytime you visit a site on the internet the host server temporarily records certain information about you. The address of your internet service provider (AOL, BT, Tiscali, etc) which pages you visited, and the time of your visit. This information is not requested by us and we cannot stop it from occurring. The server needs the information in order to transmit the pages you wish to view to your computer. After a time, 30-60 days, your information scrolls off the server and is gone. This will happen at every site you visit on the internet.
Our shopping basket (as with all the others of which we are aware) uses “cookies” to track your progress through our site and identify you with the products you may order. If you have your browser set to refuse “cookies” you cannot order online at our site. Some large corporations (using LAN networks) prevent “cookies” from being set so if you are using a computer hooked up to a LAN network the cart may not work.
Online orders. Our system will automatically email you a confirmation when you order, for this reason we need a valid email address. If you do not receive an email then you did not provide a valid email address, you have mail filters that rejected the confirmation delivery, or your order did not get to us. We urge you to leave the confirmation on your hard drive / in your “inbox” until the tag order arrives, if there is an error on the tag, check it against the confirmation. After you receive your confirmation email, we urge you to look it over carefully one last time for any typos or errors you may have made when you filled out your order, it is not too late to correct these errors at this point. If you notice an error send an email immediately and put EDIT and the top line of your tag details in the subject line, repeat the tag information in the body of the email and tell us what needs to be changed. For example: “EDIT number 772666 to 777666 OR change postcode to SN4 5EA”. It is that simple. Please do this quickly as when the order has been sent to the engraving machine it cannot be rectified and a new order will have to be placed.
Mail orders. You will not receive a confirmation of order. Please wait for 14 days to receive the order. If by this time you have not received anything ring, or email and we will confirm your order status.
Errors On Tags
Errors are rare. Any error made by us will be corrected free of charge. If the tag is received and the information is not correct due to the instructions you have provided us, a new order will have to be placed through this site or by post. If you give us incorrect instructions when you order please do not email or call us and expect us to re-make the tag free of charge. We are offering our tags at a low profit margin in an effort to keep prices down, making tags twice due to instruction errors is beyond reason at these prices. Fill out the form carefully and check it before you submit the order, when you receive the confirmation look it over again, if you find an error send us an email, put the tag details in the subject line and the body of the email and tell us what needs to be corrected. Send the email as outlined and this will work perfectly to resolve the matter. If you use this method and we do not send a correct tag we will remake the tag free of charge.
How Long Until I Receive My Order?
This may vary depending when you have placed your order in our fortnightly cycle. To keep our prices as low as possible we now engrave large batches once a fortnight. We always process the orders on a Wednesday before midday. If the deadline is missed I'm afraid there is nothing we can do. Please check the website for the next delivery date.
We post all orders via Royal Mail First Class Postage to mainland UK and Northern Ireland. If you require a special delivery we will charge you at cost for the extra postage.
We do take orders from countries outside the UK and Northern Ireland. Postal and packaging costs will be automatically added to the shopping cart.
Due to the recent increase in Royal Mail postal charges we do charge a small amount to cover postage and packing costs
Please note we do not allow collections from our working farm. We only have a single track road that we have heavy machinery using. It is too dangerous and we cannot ensure your safety.
We guarantee these tags to remain 'functional' for the life of your pet. If you buy one of our CollarTags™ and it ever wears out or breaks during the life of your pet, we will replace it with a copy from the original information, free of charge. NOTE: We do not guarantee the tags against collar loss or the need to update tag information. The CollarTags™ will only be replaced if the original is returned for our inspection. Collars bought from us are not guaranteed. If you have any complaints about the quality of them we will pass your details to the collar manufacturer.
We guarantee your satisfaction with any tag you purchase from us. If you are not happy with the tag you receive from us, for any reason, just return it, tell us why you not happy with it, and we will issue you a complete refund. If any tag you receive from us breaks, or the lettering wears off, we will replace the tag free of charge; in these cases the replacement information will be the same as that engraved on the original tag (i.e. pet name, phone number, etcetera) changes are not allowed on warranty replacement tags.
What Do I Engrave On My Tag?
Anything you want provided there is room, what you put in the instruction boxes is what will be on the tag. A lot of text crammed onto a small tag will result in lettering that is difficult to read, keep this in mind when requesting the text you want on the tag. You will be happier with the results if you try to be brief and to the point. Avoid redundant and obvious wording, like “PLEASE CALL”, middle initials in your name, and putting your last name on the tag twice, once after pet name and once after your name, this is obvious and will just make the tag look cluttered. Please note that you do not have to fill all the boxes on the tag data entry form. The less writing the larger the print will be. See “Text Formatting” below. Please take note of what the Government says with it's Control Of Dogs Order (1992).

Control of Dogs Order (1992) says "every dog" in a public place must wear a collar and identity tag. The identity tag must show the name and address of the owner. You can be fined up to £5,000 for this offence. Your dog must still wear an identity tag even if it is microchipped. To view The Control of Dogs Order (1992) click here.
All text is in capitals for clarity. All text is centred, top to bottom, left to right with each line having a maximum number of characters including spaces available. The fewer characters used on each line means the text we engrave will be larger on that line than if the maximum number of characters, including spaces, was used.
What Size Tag For My Pet?
Getting the right CollarTag™ has everything to do with the width, thickness and type of collar your pet wears. You must take care to determine these factors prior to ordering a CollarTag. If you are unsure, please Contact Us before you order as mistakes cannot be rectified after the tag is engraved and a new tag will have to be ordered.
CollarTag Sizes & Styles
We have CollarTags™ for almost all types of collars. Plastic snap buckles, rolled leather, double thick with eyelets, Martingale, Invisible Fence, you name it, we almost certainly have a style that will work on the collar your pet wears.
Please ensure that you measure the circumference of your dog's neck accurately to ensure that you order the correct size. All measurements are shown as collar width x minimum neck size - maximum neck size (circumference range). Whilst we will happily exchange unworn collars, you will be charged any additional cost plus postage at the full rate. Please also bear in mind that when ordering a collar and tag combination, the tag may not fit a different sized collar and a new tag may also have to be ordered. If you do need to return a collar to us due to an incorrect size being ordered, will you please contact us first to let us know you are doing so and return the unworn collar to us within 7 days of receipt of your order.
How to ensure you get the right collar neck size for your pet
To get the correct length collar when ordering a collar you want the "comfortable" circumference of your pet's neck. The best way to determine this is to measure the collar the pet currently wears, not the overall length, but the distance from the end of the buckle to the hole in the collar that you use to fasten it. If the collar is an adjustable one (closes with plastic snaps) then the length from end to end will do. If your pet does not have a collar then try to use a cloth measuring tape or put a piece of string around the pet's neck and then measure that, do allow for comfort. If in any doubt regarding sizing please contact us.
Ordering 15 mm Collars and CollarTags
Please note that the CollarTag for a 15 mm wide collar is 23 mm wide so will overhang the edges of the collar by approximately 3 mm each side. The other CollarTags overhang by about 2 mm. We do not think this looks unattractive or bulky, even on smaller dogs. The CollarTag is the this size to allow the increased amount of text that customers requested.

Draw the outsides of the webbing together and pass it through the small opening in the middle of the lugs. Open webbing out and now it is secure.
Order On-Line and Pay by Cheque
If you wish to place an order on-line but pay by cheque, please follow the on-line ordering process. When this is complete, press the 'checkout' button and proceed to enter your contact and delivery address details. At the bottom of the page you will be given the option of 'Pay by Credit Card' or 'Pay by Cheque'. If you click on 'Pay by Cheque' you will be sent an email which is a copy of your order. All you need to do then is send a cheque, made payable to Indigo Collar Tags, to Indigo Collar Tags. We will process your order as soon as possible and trust you to send a cheque.
